Disneyland and California Adventure at Night

I love night photography, especially when you incorporate neon signs. Disney is one of the best places for this combination.
I also find night photography to be quite technically difficult. Making sure I don’t lose my highlights while also keeping the noise low is challenging. I think I’m getting better but I still have much more to improve on.
I shot everything on aperture priority and set a minimum shutter speed based on my ISO. I also set my metering mode to expose for the highlights. I’m sure I could have gotten “better” results in manual, but since I was with other people I didn’t want to slow the group down just to get the perfect shot.

This was my first time using the Sony 20mm f1.8 G, and while a great lens, it’s not for me. I’ve found I don’t like shooting that wide. I’ve since sold this lens and picked up a Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 G2.
